In honor of my monthly self-portraits (and unwavering narcissism), I thought I'd take myself in three different angles, literally and figuratively. Like you, I wear different faces at different times in my life. It's not that I'm trying to be different Sugar's to different people... not anymore, anyway... It's just that different environments or groups of friends tend to coax one part or another out of me. I enjoy having all those facets to myself... even if every now and then it gets a little crowded in here.
Please ignore the fluffiness of a month's worth of cookie dough and merlot indulgence...

You look gorgeous!
All of 'em beautiful!
And I do not see ONE TRACE of fluffiness.
Beautiful. the last one is my favorite.
yeah yeah you're gorgeous, we know...but I have to say, I am so jealous of your eye brows! weird right? whatever. They're so nicely shaped and what a great arch. Mine are a poor mangled mess. Green w/ envy over here.
You are TOTALLY adorable! And, you are a hat girl, I LOVE hats! I so adore the hats.
That blue background is AMAZING. Where is that? And did you set up the camera?
You're beautiful, and your personality radiates from each photo my friend!!
I wish I was so fluffy! I love the hat and you are stunning in all 3!
My secret, no one really knows. Yet even people secretly believed, however they will not admit to it or go against the majority or the popular belief. People loves praises of others, rather than standing up for your conscience or what you really feel inside - your convictions, see, cause they love the praises of others.
So tell me, what is the secret of gaining victory or winning in fear of others and gaining their praise?
Anonymous: How I wish I knew the secret of gaining victory without still seeking to please others. I think, for the most part, I have cracked that shell. This self portrait exercise is one of those cracks. I get really scared when I go to publish my face in this blog. When I get compliments, I cringe a little thinking they are undeserved, but that's part of it all I guess. Next time, I'm going to ask for links to everyone else's self portrait, I think. That way, we can spread the compliments around. Anyway... not sure if that makes sense...
Seeking praise... hmmm... I have a friend who loves to remind me how many people I have alienated because I tell my truth now... and in a way that makes me sad for the loss... but in another way, I am happy to welcome into my world more like minded people... people that want to live in victory rather than pull each other down. I hope that answered your question.
You have three different looks and I think they are all wonderful. I think that the thing that shows most is the self confidence you have in yourself. So nice to see in these days...
If I were a female, I'd want to look at least HALF as lovely. All three are very pretty. Oh, and I'm standing with san diego momma on the not seeing a single trace of "fluffiness".
